Simple advice from a Licensed Building Practitioner when making critical decisions like choosing a section, architectural style, plans, building materials and fixtures can save a lot of time, money and hassle later on.

Majority of the building work you do requires consent at some stage.

Whether it’s structural, roofing or even earth-moving services, they will all require you to obtain Council consent. We recommend involving New Wave Construction from the very start, we can then guide you in the right direction, as our team live, eat, and breathe building projects, and can educate you on what consents you need for your project.

No, as mentioned before, our team is very experienced when it comes to consents and either we or your Architect will take care of lodging the application on your behalf.

We try and make the experience as enjoyable and stress free we can for you, so you can sit back, relax and watch your build take shape.

Any work involving structural changes, weather tightness, design changes, erection or fire safety all need to legally be undergone by a Licensed Building Practitioner.

To gain an LBP License your builder need to be qualified, and under-go exams to pass. By having a LBP undergo your project you’re also covered by an LBP License. Having an LBP on site at all times gives you peace of mind that there are skilled, experienced, professionals taking charge of your project.

YES! New Wave Construction use a 287 Point Quality Assurance Checklist throughout the build, so even the smallest details of your build are checked and signed off to ensure it is built to the highest quality.

We will also give you a 12 month maintenance period guaranteed, if anything is wrong our team will come out and make it right free of charge within that period. Lastly your project is covered by the 10-year consumer guarantee, just to make sure you are totally satisfied with your completed project.

All of our building projects are paid on a progress payment system. Once you receive a written contract quote that is specified in your building agreement, we will provide you with a payment schedule along with the construction schedule.

You only need to make payments to one company. The schedule provided will let you know what you can expect at each stage and when to expect a request for payment.

We welcome you to make any changes you would like, to enhance your home.

Any requests by yourselves incurring extra labour and/or material costs will be treated as a variation to the contract. All variations will be costed and presented to you for approval authorising the builder to carry out these changes before any such works can be started.
